At Purpose† Over Pretty, every item is created with intention, prayer, and careful attention to detail. Because these products are made to order just for you, all sales are final.

I’m unable to accept returns or exchanges for size, change of mind, or preference.

However, I want you to love what you receive — if your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please reach out so I can make it right!

To report an issue, contact me within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the problem. Once reviewed and approved, I will gladly replace the item or issue a refund when appropriate.

Observation — What does the text say? Who, what, when, where, why?
Interpretation — What does it mean in its original context?
Application — What does it mean for me today?

This method is slower but powerful when studying entire chapters or books.

Verse Mapping

Verse mapping helps you break down a verse word by word and connect deeper meanings.

Write the verse in the center of your page.
Circle key words to define.
Look up cross-references (other verses that relate).
Ask: What does this reveal about God? About me?
Summarize what you learned.

It’s like Scripture meets detective work. It’s definitely eye-opening!

S.O.A.P. Method

This is one of the easiest ways to slow down and reflect deeply on Scripture:

S — Scripture: Write out the verse(s) that stood out.
O — Observation: What’s happening? What do you notice?
A — Application: How does this apply to your life today?
P — Prayer: Respond to God in prayer based on what you learned.

Example:

Scripture — Philippians 4:6 — “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Observation — Paul tells us not to worry, but to pray with a thankful heart.

Application — I need to bring my anxiety to God instead of carrying it.

Prayer — Lord, help me to come to You first, not last, when I’m overwhelmed.
